Shared by Mitchell
+1 Gawker for the end-blow
Maureen Dowd’s column today is a list of ways that she is just Sarah Palin.I was beginning to panic. I pored over the book to see if…

Ben Usie tipped me on the best website of all time (if you are a nerdy rap fan). Click through and check it out. Apparently I’m really late on this.

I'm not sure that anyone could ever say anything that would convince me that Sarah Palin is qualified to run the executive branch of the USA. But this guy tries anyway.

I hope that this pairing sparks a slew of “Which Insider Host Are YOU!?” facebook quizzes.
I, personally, view myself as a Levi Johnston type.

Of course, most U.S. Muslims don’t shoot up their fellow soldiers. Fine. As soon as Muslims give us a foolproof way to identify their jihadis from their moderates, we’ll go back to allowing them to serve. You tell us who the ones are that we have to worry about, prove you’re right, and Muslims can once again serve. Until that day comes, we simply cannot afford the risk. You invent a jihadi-detector that works every time it’s used, and we’ll welcome you back with open arms. This is not Islamophobia, it is Islamo-realism,

I had some photos published in Brightest Young Things, the premier blog covering the happenings of DC for indie-inclined people aged 21*-31. The BYT people I met were cool, so I hope to do some stuff with them again soon.

Sent to me by distinguished professor of political science and noted Supreme Court documentary voice over pro Joe Kobylka. The mental image of him watching this in his office, flattening his scholarly mustache in approval while his perpetually drinking toy bird nods in the background is almost as entertaining as the video itself.
Which is highly entertaining.

“I really want to record/ make music, but I don’t have the stuff! And good stuff is sooo expensive!”
Up until yesterday, I would be inclined to agree with you. Music stuff is expensive, sometimes prohibitively so. But this version of Ableton Live, the only music production software I use, that was released yesterday is a mere $99. Comparatively speaking, that is nothing. With it, you can record audio, remix, play and program the MANY instruments that come with it.
Even for the person just casually entertaining the idea of getting started with making music, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. I love it. You can also try out a full version of Live FREE for 14 days. Check out the site and email me if you want to know more.
